8th International Acid Sulfate Soils Conference

The 8th International Acid Sulfate Soils Conference will be held July 17-23 at the University of Maryland. The conference will include technical sessions, as well as tours and excursions to sites in the Chesapeake Bay watershed in Maryland and Virginia. The first conference was held in the Netherlands in 1972, and this eighth gathering will be the first held in the United States. The call for abstracts is open, as is registration; click here to access both.
Acid sulfate soils are present in the Chesapeake Bay watershed and around the world; they play a significant role in water quality and often impact land development operations.
